Handbuilt Muffin Pan

Learn how to make your own Muffin Pan using clay slabs, hand building techniques and the Muffin Pan Templates. We will discuss the best clays and glazes to use for bakeware and how to care for your handmade bakeware.
This class is perfect for all ages and skill levels.
Materials:
5-7 lbs of clay, you can use any clay you like made for use in an oven. I am using Laguna #60 speckled brown clay.
Muffin Pan Template & Muffin Cup Template or Ruffled Square 8.5” Rim Template
3” & 2.5” circle cookie cutters
Clay Knife, I am using the Dolan 220s
¼” flat craft brush
Kemper wooden clay modeling tool JA24
Flexible ribs, I am using the #3 yellow and #1 red Sherrill mud tool ribs
Sponge
Bowl or bucket of water
Serrated rib
Slip or magic water (recipe available on clayshareresources.com)
Ware boards for working on and drying on, here I am using ¾” plywood
Something for texture if desired, I am using the Floral Batik rolling pin
A Kiln, your own or access to one
