This segment of the workshop will be a 2nd live discussion of how the kilns we use at Clayscapes were built. It will include a list of supplies that you will need to make your own kiln at home. We will be covering how those supplies can be assembled into a kiln like the one that will be used in the firing portion of the workshop. We will also cover different ways to make raku kilns from old used kilns to simpler metal can raku kilns.

Dolan 220s Clay Knife
¼” hole cutter or any size you wish to use
Ribs, I am using a basic wooden rib and Sherrill mud Tools #3 Yellow
White Sherrill Mud Tools Sponge

3lbs of Laguna 250 raku Clay, or any Raku clay you wish to use
Ware board or slab mat to work on
Dolan 220s Clay Knife
3” x 10” template
3.5” circle cookie cutter
¼” hole cutter
Soft Ribs, I am using a Sherril #3 Yellow and #1 Red Rib
White Mud Tools Sponge
