Ring Vase

Ring Vase

Ring Vases/Pour Vessels date back to ancient times and across many different cultures. Many people today call this shape a “Donut Vase” because of it resemblance to the sweet American pastry but I am going to stick with Ring Vase since I am pretty sure they didn’t have donuts in Ancient Greece. This shape has a timeless elegance and can be made as a more traditional form or as something more modern. You can even add more necks to it make it a multi -neck vessel or add a spout and handle to make it a pitcher or pouring vessel.
In this composite form class, you will learn how to make a double walled closed form on the pottery wheel.
